Comparing our generation with the older generation, people of so-called strawberry troop is indeed becoming more and more. There are certain factors which cause this situation. As far as I observed, the environment of my generation is richer than my parents’ or even my grandparents’ generation. These few years, the average income is higher than the last generation. And parents are able to give their children better care and life. In addition, with the development of technology, it becomes so convenient for us to live. In other words, we, human beings, are lazier than the last generation as well.
2. Does the description match your self-identity or -realization? If not, offer a counter claim.
This description did not exactly match my self-realization. Not all of the new generation are lazy and can not do their missions well. There are still exceptions.
Take myself for example, I am tough (at least I think I am ) and I do not give up my goal easily. In my opinion, I do not like to live depending on my parents. So, I found a part time job this semester and earn my own money. There are still some good examples in our generation. However, every generation will have its own living mode and thinking. In my generation, the development of computer and the Internet do play an important role in our changes. More and more youth are addicted to the Internet, and do not want to do anything. Furthermore, they are afraid to social in real world. As a consequence, they hide themselves to the unreal world- the Internet. And this cause them do not feel like working; instead, they just lye at home and depend on their old parent to feed them. This situation does need to be changed and improved.

回覆刪除2. In fact, I don’t think the strawberry generation can’t endure pressures. Take my friends and I for example, even though there is a lot of homework, we still face the pressures and finish it finally. Even though sometimes we feel very tired and want to give up, we still try our best and make it in the end. Also, the author mentions we care substance, but I want to ask the author a question who doesn’t care substance? I think the author is too subjective. We are not bad as she says. We can face pressures, we have ability to handle everything, and we are tough!

回覆刪除About the caring of substance, I think that everybody will care about it, and it is just the extent we care makes the differences.
Morever, I think this era makes a trend that substances becomes more and more important in our life. And this trend is not the main cause to the problem of strawberry generation.
